Papua New Guinea is known as the Land of Unexpected. It is a country of immense cultural and biological diversity. PNG known for its beaches and coral reefs. Inland are active volcanoes, Granite Mt. Wilhelm in the southern highlands province, dense rainforest and hiking routes like the Kokoda Trail. There more than 800 native languages that make the country most diverse. In these articles, I am going to write about the top three (3) places in PNG you should go visit.
1: Mt. Hagen
Mt. Hagen is situated in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. Hagen is the headquarter of western highlands province and is enriched by the famous and nutritious Waghi Valley. There is no other places in the country or even the South Pacific Region where you could get fresh organic produce. They produce the juiciest pineapple, organic and fresh veggies, and almost any kind of tropical fruits.
Mt. Hagen is the third largest city in Papua New Guinea. It is the capital of the Western Highlands Province and is at an elevation of 5,500 ft. Together with Goroka in the Eastern Highlands, it makes up the commercial hub of the Highlands, which make their money from mining, coffee and other agricultural crops that grow at altitudes, such as sweet potatoes and potatoes.
